Dedicated to the memory of Civil Rights activists, Harry T. and Harriette V. Moore, the memorial park's mission is to create awareness of their unique contributions to the early civil rights movement. On the park grounds you will find a cultural center and museum, historic exhibits, a library, walking trail, and an exact duplicate of the home the Moores lived in up to their untimely deaths.
The center can also be used as a meeting place and is equipped with technology for presentations. The park also has a picnic pavilion with kitchen, a gazebo and Walk of Freedom paver walkway with reflecting pools and fountains. The park is ideal for family reunions and 5K runs/walks. Hours of operation vary. Closed Sunday except scheduled private events.
