Celebrating the lives of the Moore's, The Harry T. & Harriette V. Moore Cultural Center & Museum promotes awareness of their unique contributions to the early civil rights movement. Dedicated to the preservation of African American history, it is a repository of Moore family artifacts and historical documents featuring strategic events beginning with slavery in America. Programs offered at the Cultural Center for the enrichment and edification of both children and adults encompass the visual, literary, and performing arts. The center and surrounding park are especially popular as venues for Jazz Concerts, Family Reunions, Outdoor Annual Tea Parties, and so many more special events.
The Moore Cultural Center is open with a strong suggestion of wearing masks and social distancing only accepting visitors at a 50% capacity. Our new hours for COVID are:
- Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
- Saturday/Sunday – Closed
- 12pm – 1pm – Closed for Lunch
