Ramps are located at many of the beach crossovers on the Space Coast. Please see this map to locate the one closest to your hotel or vacation rental. This map also includes the Mobi Mats located in the City of Cape Canaveral.

Brevard Zoo | Melbourne | 321.254.9453

The Brevard Zoo is a great way to spend the day for the whole family. While packed with experiences and things to see, this wheelchair-accessible zoo is equipped with lifts and elevators to allow everyone to experience the zoo’s unique features like the treetop walkway in Rain Forest Revealed. Wheelchair rentals and electric conveyance vehicles are available fore rental at the zoo on a first-come first-serve basis. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex | Titusville | 321.449.4443

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is an accessible attraction that has something for everyone. Check out their website to learn about wheelchair and Electric Convenience Vehicle (ECV) rental during your visit. Then enjoy wheelchair ramps, large bathrooms, and plenty of space to cool off. Space Coast Field of Dreams | West Melbourne 

The Space Coast Field of Dreams was made for kids with all abilities! Shaded playgrounds and fields allow every kid to get in the game and enjoy their time on the Space Coast. Find an accessible playground, splash pad, mini golf, and fields created for kids and families of all abilities!

Chain of Lakes Park | Titusville

With miles and miles of paved paths, a stroll in the park is an incredible Space Coast experience.

Mikey Goodwin Playground at James H. Nance Park | Indialantic

The design of this newly constructed playgrounds meets & exceeds current ADA Standards for Accessible Design, which include technical requirements for play areas. Considerations include accessible routes, groundcover materials, ramps, wheelchair parking areas, handrails, and overhead clearance.  The community of Indialantic strove to make this playground accessible to as many as possible. All safety surfacing is wheelchair-accessible and will include ramping so that children can play with elevated components. It is also be built with “parallel play” features which allow kids of differing ages, physical abilities, and cognitive abilities to play along side each other. Additionally, there is a communication board to assist children with limited language skills express themselves.

Accessible Trails and Natural Spaces

  • Barrier Island Sanctuary |  Melbourne Beach
    • At their Education Center they have a ramp to access, a deck area, and a boardwalk/dune crossover that reaches Bone Steel Beach Park.
  • Enchanted Forest | Titusville
    • Ramp access, paved path trail, garden area, and even a picnic table wheelchair accessible
  • Sam’s House at Pine Island | Merritt Island
    • Ramps are available to both the cabin and the house. They also have a small, paved trail.
  • Turkey Creek Sanctuary | Palm Bay
    • Ramp access to the Margaret Hames Nature Center as well as accessible paved trails and boardwalks.
  • Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge
    • Their visitor center features a wheelchair-accessible boardwalk loop through oak hammocks. You’ll also find easy access at the Manatee Observation Deck. For driving scenic routes, consider Biolab Road and Black Point Wild Drive. Additionally, the beach access at Eddy Creek parking lot #8 at Playalinda Beach, and the Gator Creek parking lot Observation Deck at the refuge entrance on State Road 406 are wheelchair accessible.
  • Canaveral National Seashore
