Day 1: Traverse Titusville

Kennedy Space Center Entrance

Spend a day at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Remember to check your entry time and have a face covering. Some exhibits are still closed, but you’ll get a free ticket to return in 2021 to experience them. Make time to stroll through the Space Walk of Fame in Titusville with monuments for each era and bronze handprints. Grab a meal at the iconic Dixie Crossroads or head to Shiloh’s Steak and Seafood for a beautiful view of the Indian River Lagoon and NASA’s Vehicle Assembly Building.

Get active and rent a bike and check out the amazing paved trails and overlooks at Chain of Lakes park. Or you can get wild on the hiking trails of the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. Here you’ll see diverse  and unique ecosystems that are home to hundreds of species of native and migratory birds, manatees, dolphins, and other amazing animals you won’t soon forget.

If you have an RV, head to Jetty Park or Manatee Hammock Park to end your day.

Day 2: Beach Day All The Way

Cocoa Beach Surfers

Beaches: With 72 miles of beaches, you’re sure to find somewhere to relax. We’re known as the East Coast Surfing Capital for a reason! Start off in Cocoa Beach by visiting Ron Jon Surf Shop and the Cocoa Beach Surf Company. Buy a swimsuit, take surfing lessons, and rent a board. Don’t forget to pose with Kelly Slater’s statue! Stroll down the Cocoa Beach Pier for more shopping and food while watching the waves. Please be aware that Cocoa Beach and Satellite have issued mask mandates. Got a dog? Why not head to Lori Wilson Park’s dog park or Canova Beach. If you’re interested in deep sea fishing, Port Canaveral has plenty of charters available.

Head further south to find more secluded beaches and the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge, one of the most important sea turtle nesting habitats in the United States. Stop by the Barrier Island Sanctuary for a full education on sea turtles and their habitats!

Not ready to stop exploring? Journey further south to the Sebastian Inlet State Park where you can rent a campsite for the night. Here you have the best of the Space Coast with some of the most impressive views. Check out the sunrise and advanced surfing conditions on the beach. Check out a trail or the swimming lagoon in the afternoon for fun for the whole family! Then head to the Indian River Lagoon for some boating, kayaking, or fishing before catching an unforgettable sunset over its calm waters.

Day 3: A Day in Town

Kayaking at Brevard Zoo

Start off your day at the Brevard Zoo. They are also utilizing timed entry and require face coverings. While at the zoo, why not try your skills with Treetop Trek? Visit Bass Pro Shop in Palm Bay and consider chartering a fishing trip from one of our many fantastic captains. Head to Downtown Melbourne for more great dining and nightlife.  Check out the Eau Gallie Arts District,  for larger-than-life murals and unique shops to find the perfect gift.  Need a bit of art, history and eclectic shopping experience to round out your road trip?  Historic Cocoa Village checks every box! All of the  downtown districts of the Space Coast are unique and provide you with tons opportunities to explore  with many restaurants and breweries open for delicious take out options.

Find the perfect place to enjoy your takeout at these parks. And absolutely make a few of these Ice Cream Shops a stop or two on your Space Coast Road Trip. They’re already plotted out on a map!
