Pritchard House Museum – Titusville
The historic Pritchard House is a fine example of Queen Anne-style architecture and appears much today as it did when it was built for Captain James Pritchard in 1891. The historic Pritchard House is open to the public as a house museum. Both the house and gardens are available as rentals for special occasions such as birthday/anniversary parties, bridal showers/weddings, business /organizational activities. The Foundation holds many interesting activities that are open to the public, including docent lead tours, “notable” afternoon teas, special events, and exhibits of their extensive collections.

Harry T. & Harriette V. Moore Home – Mims
A replica of the Harry T. & Harriette V. Moore home is constructed at the Harry T. & Harriette V. Moore Cultural Center and Museum. Harry T. Moore and his wife, Harriette, were educators by profession. They lived in Mims, Florida, and taught in segregated public schools in and around Brevard County from 1925 to 1946. On Christmas Eve in 1946 their home was bombed, a heinous act that resulted in the death of these incredible activists and the birth of the Civil Rights Movement in the United States. The replica of their home is available for tours and gives a glimpse into their life. The Memorial Park and Museum offer more insight to the impact these two had on our world, and is host to many events throughout the year.
Merritt Island Historic Homes
Sams House – Merritt Island
From Ice Age animals to Native Americans to early pioneers, Pine Island Conservation Area has a rich history. Mastodon tusks, pottery sherds, and 19th-century farm tools found on-site help piece together the story of this special place. Come inside the oldest standing home in Brevard County, the 1875 Sams family cabin. Travel back in time there and along the paved trail where interactive exhibits highlight Pine Island’s many past inhabitants.
Enjoy hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking through five different habitats and over six miles of trails. Wading birds, bald eagles, alligators, manatees, and bobcats are just a few of the animals that you may see.
Field Manor – Merritt Island
Field Manor is a living history museum that includes an 1880s farmhouse and a working citrus grove. The land for Field Manor was homesteaded beginning in 1867, and the house began construction in 1880. It was the first house to be built on Merritt Island. It features a 45-acre working citrus grove and sits on about 320 ft of riverfront shoreline. Field Manor aims to show visitors what living in Florida in the 1800s was like. Walk the living history museum and grounds to see a variety of fruits as well as beehives and oyster beds. They are now open for historic tours, educational programs, and are a venue for weddings and other events! Call today to schedule a tour.

Cocoa Historic Homes
Porcher House – Cocoa Village
In the heart of Cocoa’s established Historic District, the Porcher House is open to the community to enjoy as a special place for meetings, weddings, private parties, luncheons, afternoon teas, and card parties. Built in 1916 the historic house is an excellent example of 20th-century classical revival architecture, adapted to the Florida climate. The ten-bedroom house is composed of native coquina rock and finished in the interior with teak, oak, and cedar. In the 1950s, the city of Cocoa obtained the house from the Porcher family and turned it into the City Hall. You can currently rent this historic home out for special occasions.
Rockledge Historic Homes
Lawndale Museum – Rockledge
When you step inside Lawndale you enter a family home of 1895. The home is a classic example of Queen Anne architecture built by Senator Hiram Smith Williams on the rock ledge of the Indian River Lagoon south of Cocoa Village. The beautiful home is located in a National Register Historic District at 1219 Rockledge Drive, a road which is designated by the Florida Legislature as one of the most scenic in the state. Docents in period dress guide you as you learn what it was like to live in Central Florida in the late 1800’s The furnishings and paint colors are period-appropriate and the decorative woodwork exhibits Williams’ early career as a carriage maker. One of the original school rooms in the area is on the second floor of the home. Lawndale is open for tours every Saturday of each month, 10 AM to 3 PM, no reservations needed. $10 per adult. Rossetter House Museum and Gardens – Eau Gallie Arts District
The Rossetter House Museum and Gardens memorialize the first homes to be built in the Eau Gallie Arts District in the early 1900s. Guided tours of the interior of the Rossetter House Museum include an entertaining and informative discussion of the history of the area and the interesting people who made the history. All tours start across the street in the Roesch House. The tour includes a background beginning at the Roesch House and then on to the Rossetter House, Rossetter gardens, the garage, and the Houston family cemetery.

Green Gables House – Melbourne
Green Gables was built in a beautiful Queen Anne style architecture and is located along the scenic Indian River. It was built by William and Nora Wells and served as their winter home until they chose to permanently retire here. Green Gables had two bathrooms and was one of the first houses in Melbourne to have electricity. The original site consisted of 150 acres of land that extended all the way to Wells Park and the Fee Avenue Library.
