COCOA, FL (Oct 15, 2021) – The Space Coast Office of Tourism and Space Coast Film Commission are excited to welcome the crew of Discovery Channel’s RV There Yet? to film an episode about the area. They filmed throughout Port Canaveral including the RV accommodations at Jetty Park, Wild Ocean, Seafood Atlantic, and Exploration Tower, at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, with Lone Cabbage Fish Camp’s Twister Airboats, and finished by visiting the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge (MINWR). Interviews include Port Canaveral CEO Captain Murray, Astronaut Commander Bruce Melnick, Wild Ocean’s Sherri McCoy, Twister Airboats’ Dennis Inman, and MINWR Ranger and Visitor Services Manager, Kim King-Wrenn.

“We’ve had a great experience working with RV There Yet? and can’t wait to see the episode,” says Film Commissioner and Space Coast Office of Tourism PR Manager Meagan Happel. “We hope this will entice RVers, a new audience of travelers, and other productions to come experience the Space Coast.”

RV There Yet? is a new series on the Discovery Channel taking viewers along on road trips to explore America’s National Parks featuring fun detours along the way. The Space Coast episode will end with the crew visiting Everglades National Park. The show features hacks to common RV challenges, cooking tips, best routes, must-have equipment, RV care, and more. Hosts include former park ranger Ranger Dave, hippy fashionista Kalamity Karla, Executive Producer Kevin McCabe, and self-proclaimed RV kitchen culinary expert Patrice “Sweet Pea” McCabe.

Executive Producer Kevin McCabe originally hails from Cocoa Beach, and is excited to be working on his 2nd Discovery show and for the opportunity to show off his home county. “I’ve spent the past 20 years producing Addictive Fishing Television and inspiring people to explore the Space Coast and my hometown of Cocoa Beach.” McCabe says, “Now my passion is to inspire people to get out and see the rest of America. There’s nothing better than exploring this beautiful country in an RV.”

RV There Yet? will be filming on the Space Coast the week of October 18, and the episode is currently planned to air Saturday, January 29, 2022.
