Black Point Wildlife Drive

As part of the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Black Point Wildlife Drive is a 7-mile, one-way drive where you can see wildlife. The whole family will love seeing waterfowl, wading birds, alligators, river otters, bobcats and other wildlife. The path follows a dike road around shallow marsh impoundments and through pine flatwoods and takes approximately 40 minutes to complete.

Peak wildlife season is from October to March and is most active in the early morning or late afternoon. Please drive slow and do not approach or feed wildlife. There is a $10 fee per vehicle for a day pass. Buses and vehicles over 29 feet and 2.5 tons are prohibited.
