Field Manor is a living history museum that includes an 1880s homestead and former orange grove. It is one of the few pioneer homes still standing in Brevard County. The Field family arrived in 1868 from Macon, GA., seeking to make a new life for themselves. The land for Field Manor was formally homesteaded in 1882 and 1886 and construction on the house began in 1880, sitting along 425ft on the Indian River Lagoon.
Field Manor aims to show visitors what pioneer living in Florida was like. Walk the living history museum and Homestead to see old Florida, including an exhibit about Brevard natives, the Ais.
They are currently working on their packing house (1900-1933) to use as exhibition space for their agricultural and other equipment.
They are open for historic tours, educational programs, and are a venue for weddings and other events! Tours are available Wednesday- Saturday, at 10A, Noon, and 2P. Please call 321.848.0365 today to schedule a tour.
An Afternoon Tea, featuring loose-leaf teas, savories, sweets, and scones, all set in an historic home on the Indian River Lagoon. Featuring vintage flatware and dishes, this tea also includes a short tour of the museum. Reservations are required and we can accommodate up to fourteen people, open seating.
$35.00/ticket, which acts as a donation toward our historic preservation efforts.
