HSMAI To Honor Space Coast Office Of Tourism With Gold Adrian Award For Outstanding Travel Marketing

Adrian Awards Winner 2021 Gold

McLean, VA, (MARCH 30, 2022) – The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) will honor the Space Coast Office of Tourism with a Gold Adrian Award for travel marketing excellence for its winning entry in the 65th annual Adrian Awards, the largest and most prestigious global travel marketing competition. For 2021, HSMAI designed the Adrian Awards to reflect the current travel landscape, with Focus Categories of Recovery Marketing, Recovery Campaign Evolution, Technology Innovation, and Corporate Social Responsibility, in addition to traditional Adrian Award categories.

“We are honored to be in such good company with the rest of the Adrian Award winners as we celebrate the recovery of the industry,” says Space Coast Office of Tourism Executive Director, Peter Cranis.

Florida’s entire coastline is white, sandy beaches—but the deafening crackle of a 500-ton rocket leaving the Earth can only be felt on Florida’s Space Coast. Defining this key differentiator and establishing it as the core value proposition was the first step in making Florida’s Space Coast a one-of-a-kind vacation spot. To better promote awareness of the destination and highlight its key differentiator, in early 2021 the Space Coast Office of Tourism developed a new campaign based on the strategy of “+space.” This concept allowed us to showcase the destination while showing the “closeness” to space. No matter where you are on Florida’s Space Coast, whether you’re kayaking or surfing, you’ll be able to see a rocket launch. And in this execution, we show that connection quite literally. Because at Florida’s Space Coast—you can touch space from anywhere. View the winning entry here.

“The HSMAI Adrian Awards recognize important work done by the industry to empower recovery in 2021,” said Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHBA, president and CEO of HSMAI. “Hospitality and tourism professionals continued to face evolving challenges that required innovation and ingenuity. HSMAI is proud to recognize the extraordinary efforts of hospitality sales, marketing, and revenue optimization leaders with Adrian Awards. By recognizing incredible work, we will share the best practices that will continue to drive recovery. ”

The Space Coast Office of Tourism will be honored during the HSMAI Adrian Awards celebration on March 30, 2022, at The Boca Raton in Boca Raton, FL, recognizing best practices, innovation, and community. Annually attended by nearly leading hospitality, travel, and tourism marketing executives, this celebration is a must-attend industry event. The Adrian Awards virtual celebration honors award-winning work and the people behind it with Lifetime Achievement Awards, HSMAI Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Hospitality Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Optimization Awards, and more.

Winning entries will be viewable in the winners’ gallery on the Adrian Awards website following the March 30 Celebration. Visit www.AdrianAwards.com for more information on the event and competition and to view the Adrian Awards Winners’ Gallery.
