Fisherman's Landing Park

Fisherman’s Landing is located on the shore of the Indian River in Grant-Valkaria, a small town between Melbourne and Sebastian. This scenic 7.48-acre community river park is a perfect wayside stop for travelers and a convenient site for community events. Providing launching spots for a day out on the water, whether in a canoe, a kayak, or on top of a paddleboard, this area features some of the Space Coast’s natural landscape and wildlife. And don’t forget a fishing pole.

Visitors can either fish the waters of the Indian River where redfish and sea trout are most commonly caught from the makeshift pier or out on the water. After spending some time on the water, visitors can head back to shore where grills are available to cook up the fresh catch of the day or food that has been packed in the cooler. Pavilions onsite provide a break from the sun and a gathering place for get-togethers. Nestled on the park is the Grant Historical House, the first house built in the area back in 1916. Guided tours are available seasonally.
