Florida’s Space Coast’s Top Barbecue Joints
Finger-licking good isn’t just for fried chicken
It’s that time of the year where the sounds of cheers and the occasional boos from football season are starting up. It’s also the time of year when people are tailgating and getting their fill of barbecue. And sometimes, you don’t need a reason to want some good ol’ barbecue.
Whether to meet up with friends to catch a game or two or to just satisfy a craving, finding the right spot that serves up the right dose of savory goodness and the proper Southern cup of sweet tea is easy when you visit Florida’s Space Coast. Now serving at two locations, the popularity of this barbecue joint that truly is first come, first serve, means that it’s never too early to get a finger-licking good meal. Once they sell out, that’s it…at least until the next day. Staying true to a time-honored tradition, Cryderman’s serves locally sourced meat seasoned only with salt and pepper and the right dose of patience for perfect melt-in-your-mouth meat.

You know everyone loves momma’s cooking and even more so when Memaw does it. Memaw’s Barbeque offers meat that is trimmed and cut daily, dipped in a secret sauce that Memaw herself invented over 40 years ago, then slowly cooked for hours over a real open-pit fire. Perfecting the taste and aroma makes this place one to stop in at. Located in Palm Bay, it’s worth the drive, no matter where you are staying because the rest of the menu makes for one of the best barbecue experiences on the coast.

For tried and true Southern barbecue, Charlie & Jake’s brings you some of the best, Alabama-style. This laid-back restaurant isn’t laid-back when it comes to properly cooking the meat. Not only will you have mouth-watering deliciousness tickling your palate, the tenderness and taste of the meat comes from the slow-smoked process that gives it the signature taste that keeps people coming back over and over again. Couple that with a great atmosphere, you’ve got the perfect combination for good food and good fun.
