C-54 Canal

For all you who are looking for an off-the-beaten-path adventure, the C-54 Canal a 12-mile long canal way starting at the Stick Marsh and ending at Sebastian Inlet. It has become a popular spot for kayak fishing.

Getting there is where the adventure comes in to play. Plug in the following coordinates into your GPS: N 27 49.377 W 80 36.788 You will be on a single-lane dirt ramp on the south side of the canal a quarter-mile west of the Babcock Street bridge. This is the only canoe or kayak launch site on the canal and the only designated parking area. Don’t have a canoe or kayak? Not a problem. You can fish all along the canal shoreline. As with any water area, pay attention to your surroundings for wildlife that call the Space Coast home.
