Snap, chat, and share

Making memories is why visitors come to Florida’s Space Coast, but it’s partly because of photos from the faithful ones who shared the beauty of the area with friends and family after they went back home, encouraging them to vacation here on the coast.

And it’s not often you are encouraged to keep your phone on hand when you are on vacation, but this one time, that is exactly what is being done. In the world today, it’s a snap, a story, and share every second of your life, and in the midst of that, photos from around the globe make its way to the eyes of someone, like yourself, that peaks an interest and has you looking for where the photo was taken.

Here are some of the most Instagrammable beaches found on Florida’s Space Coast.

Cocoa Beach Pier

For beautiful, panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Cocoa Beach Pier provides a perfect spot to capture a sunrise or sunset, a live action shot of a surfer catching a wave, or an artist taking their talents to the beach where the sand becomes an original masterpiece. But another reason why the pier is a great place to snap and share, there is a lot of color which makes for vibrant photos, fun and quirky artwork, like the directional sign and big beach chair you can sit in, and the iconic sign at the entrance.

Minutemen Causeway Beach

If you’re looking for a beach that provides crowds and live outdoor entertainment to show the life and fun of the area, then Minutemen Causeway Beach will ensure you get that desired photo. Located at the east end of Minutemen Causeway, you would best search for Coconuts on the Beach if you need directions. With tiki torches lining the entrance down to the beach and a lifeguard stand where you can pretend you’re the next Baywatch® star, all your friends back home will be thinking about stopping here the next time they get break. For your safety though, please do not climb on the lifeguard stands. So grab a drink at Coconuts on the Beach and raise it high, toast, and then post so you can remember the day, just in case you enjoy yourself too much.

Juan Ponce de Leon Landing

Located in Melbourne Beach, Juan Ponce de Leon Landing is for those with the artist eye who are looking for a beach that embodies the stillness and beauty of the beaches of the Space Coast. The serene area is your muse as you scout out the angles and placement for your photo. This is the perfect spot to capture a historic icon which whom the park is named. Juan Ponce de Leon set sail and landed around this area in 1513 after traveling almost 7,800 nautical miles into the unknown. Ponce de Leon was a smart man for landing on the Space Coast. Don’t forget to take a photo of the life-size statue at the front of the park.
