Enchanted Forest Sanctuary

Right here in Titusville, you can step into another world as you explore different ecosystems from majestic oak hammocks, wet prairies, pine flatwood, and the Atlantic Coastal Ridge all in just a short hike. The natural landscape is the perfect environment for some of the most beautiful native wildlife that calls this sanctuary home. You and your kids will be mesmerized by the white-tailed deer, Florida scrub lizard, tortoises, woodpeckers, and a variety of butterflies, you may just want to bring your camera. Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge

Do you and your kids love birds? The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge hosted the annual birding festival for over 20 years and is a great way to experience this wildlife sanctuary, but birding isn’t the only fun activity for you and your kids to enjoy. The sanctuary also offers fishing areas, several hiking trails, and a visitor center. And you don’t want to miss the 7-mile drive along Black Point where you get to follow a dirt road around several marshes, giving you viewing access to wading birds, alligators, river otters, bobcats, and so much more. Kayak Trip
