Florida's Space Coast announces tourism sales and marketing representation In Europe and UK
The Space Coast Office of Tourism is proud to announce their sales and marketing representation in Europe and the UK in collaboration with Tricia Henson Consulting, based in Orlando, Florida. The representation will commence with immediate effect and concentrate on travel trade marketing, sales and public relations activities in the key European markets of the United Kingdom and Ireland; German-speaking Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Austria), and The Netherlands.
Tricia Henson has over 20 years of experience in the tourism industry and is a penchant for accelerating business development, partnerships and growth through sales and marketing. She will be working closely with in-market representative Rukhsana Timmis based in Europe. Rukhsana brings over 30 years of travel industry marketing experience with a strong background in promoting Central Florida tourism products and offering key connections to the European tour operators, travel agents, airlines and other main travel industry partners. In addition, Rukhsana will be providing consumer public relations support in the primary markets in Continental Europe.
Space Coast Office of Tourism Executive Director Peter Cranis commented, “We are very excited to announce this partnership. With TUI now flying daily to Melbourne-Orlando International Airport from six cities in the UK and additional daily connections by Lufthansa, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic to Orlando International Airport, together with the importance of Port Canaveral as the second busiest cruise port in the world, it is important for us to be able to reach out to the European and UK markets. Having experienced professionals like Ms. Henson and Ms. Timmis working on our behalf will be of significant benefit to the Space Coast.”
Florida´s Space Coast is located in Brevard County, Florida and stretches for over 70 miles comprising beautiful beach coastline, inter-coastal river and inland areas waiting to be explored. From Titusville in the North to Palm Bay in the South, and Cocoa Beach and Melbourne in between, the region offers a multitude of authentic Florida experiences with highlights such as the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and regular launches from Cape Canaveral, including the new NASA Artemis programme alongside numerous attractions, such as the Brevard Zoo and the area´s museums and historic homes. Pristine beaches on the Atlantic Ocean are complimented by boating, kayaking and sailing experiences on the intercoastal waterways. Nature preserves such as the Merritt Island and Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuges, the Canaveral National Seashore and the St. Johns River allow encounters with typical Florida wildlife: dolphins, manatees, turtles, alligators, tortoises and birds, while the many lively communities throughout the region demonstrate Southern hospitality and small-town flair.
