Fall Travel on Florida’s Space Coast

The Fall months are a wonderful time to visit Florida’s Space Coast. As the weather transitions into our mild winters, you can still visit our 72 miles of beach to enjoy the sand, surf and sun. This time of year also brings around many festivals, marathons, and Fall holiday fun for the whole family. There are plenty of Halloween and Thanksgiving specific events, as well as the start to the Christmas and Winter Holiday season in mid-November. If you’re looking to get more into the spooky feeling, why not check out one of our haunted locations, including many of our local performing arts theatres.

Speaking of theatres, stop in for a performance of the fall seasons at Titusville Playhouse, Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse, Melbourne Civic Theatre, Surfside Playhouse, The Henegar Center, or The King Center for Performing Arts. The weather is also perfect for a stroll through our historic downtowns and arts districts where you can find unique artisan gifts for friends and family. Another way to enjoy the cooler temperatures is to head to the trails for a walk or bike ride, or to visit Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Archie Carr Wildlife Refuge, or the Ritch Grissom Memorial Wetlands (also known as the Viera Wetlands) for some birdwatching.

With fewer visitors than the popular Spring and Summer months, you can enjoy the feeling of exploring like a local our incredible attractions like Kennedy Space Center, Brevard Zoo, our beaches, museums, and more.
