Time start: 8:30 AM
Join us at Turkey Creek Sanctuary on Sunday, October 6 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM for a special birding class. The class will be led by David Simpson, nationally recognized birder and naturalist. Students should meet at the sanctuary Nature Center no later than 8:30 AM. The class will consist of approximately 45 minutes of classroom discussion on the tools and techniques necessary to becoming a skilled birder. The remainder of class time will be spent in the Sanctuary, applying the skills learned in the classroom to better identify birds in the field. Sturdy tennis shoes or boots are recommended. Items to bring include sunscreen, insect repellent, drinking water, binoculars (loaner binoculars will be available), small notebook and pencil, snacks, and a hat. This class is $10 per person. All ages and skills levels are welcome. If you would like to sign up or find out more information, please contact the Nature Center at (321) 676-6690.
