Florida’s Space Coast is a place where no matter what time of the year it is, there is something to do, places to see, and experiences to make lasting memories. And this upcoming winter event season is jam-packed with can’t-miss events. Start planning now to take a break from the colder weather with a trip to a place where palm trees, the smell of the salty sea air, and sunny weather will greet you every day. So leave the hibernation to the bears and check out some of these can’t-miss winter events taking place on the Space Coast.

Surfing Santas
December 24 – Cocoa Beach

The 10th Annual Surfing Santa Cocoa Beach event is gearing up to take place on Monday, December 24, 2018. This event has been spreading Christmas cheer on Florida’s Space Coast since 2009 and has easily become one of the locals and vacationers favorite ways to enjoy the Christmas holiday. Not only is it fun to enjoy our world-famous beaches, but also making this a family outing is a great way to make lasting memories this Christmas season.

Florida Pro Surf Competition
January 14-20, 2019 – Sebastian Inlet

This World Surf League (WSL) qualifying series event is a weeklong competition beginning January 14 and highlights the world-class surfing and beaches in Sebastian Inlet, one of the Space Coast’s most southern beach location. The Florida Pro will also be hosting a “Champions & Icons” non-WSL sanctioned event featuring former WSL champions and professionals. You will not want to miss this epic event!

Florida Key Lime Pie Festival
January 19, 2019 – Merritt Island

The Florida Key Lime Pie Company will present the 8th Annual Florida Key Lime Pie Festival on Saturday, January 19, 2019. This “sweet” event will host pie toss and eating challenges and a wide array of food and outdoor entertainment. So, pucker up those lips and leave your stomach empty for your own slice of key lime heaven.

The Florida Marathon
February 10, 2019 – Melbourne

“One of America’s top 10 bucket list waterfront races” according to Runners World Magazine, this race features live music throughout the course of the race and both runners and spectators find this event fun and entertaining. This 10th Annual Publix Florida Marathon weekend is a premier distance event giving the participants some of the Space Coast’s beautiful water views and natural landscapes and it is also one of the most environmentally sustainable races in the southeast.

Beach 'N Boards Fest
March 14-17, 2019 – Cocoa Beach

The Beach ‘N Boards fest put on by Ron Jon’s is the nation’s premiere active lifestyle event. Taking place March 14-17, 2019 in Cocoa Beach, this event features live music and pretty much any and every type of boarding you can imagine. This is a great event for all ages and all interests. End your winter season and kick off spring a little early with a long weekend at the beach.

Space Coast Warbird Airshow
March 15-17, 2019 – Titusville

For the past 42 years, the Valiant Air Command has hosted this annual air show. Known for it’s busy and fast paced program with a mix of historic warbirds, modern jets, and aerobatic teams, this is a can’t-miss event. Mark your calendar for March 15-17, 2019 and come experience the Space Coast in a way you never have before. You can even ride in one of the many aircrafts taking flight before and after the daily flying programs.
