7 Group Activities for your Space Coast Vacation

Make memories with your group on your next vacation

The Space Coast has been a go-to vacation spot for decades, but why is this place so popular? Besides having great tropical weather year round, the diversity of history and things to do, not to mention 72 miles of pristine beaches to soak up the sun on makes this area an obvious choice to visit. And it’s not just for your typical family vacation. The Space Coast attracts visitors from all over the world, but did you know that group getaways are one of the main reasons people come here?

From high school reunions and company team building exercises to wedding festivities, family reunions, snowbird get-togethers, and homeschooler field trips, there are endless activities and opportunities for groups who want to travel for their getaway. So no matter what your reason is to get your group together, let the Space Coast show you a good time. Here is our list of seven activities for you and your group to enjoy:

1. Astronaut Training Experience

Make it a multi-day experience for your group by adding the Astronaut Training Experience to your trip to Kennedy Space Center. Train like the next generation of explorers who will travel to Mars. Hone your docking skills and experience a spacewalk in a microgravity environment. And that’s not all. You will also get to manage operations, harvest vegetables in the botany lab, and work through challenges in the harshest of environments.

Recommended Groups: Homeschoolers, Family Vacations/Reunions, & Team Building

2. Treetop Trek

A self-guided adventure park that takes you on a zip-line tour through Brevard Zoo. With adventures available starting as young as 4-years- old to expert challenge courses, this is a great way to get physical exercise, but also an opportunity to use critical thinking skills with the different challenges that are offered throughout the courses. This self-guided adventure can be done as an individual, but as a group, you can add in the lesson of team-building and communication skills.

Recommended Groups: Homeschoolers, Wedding Festivities, Family Vacations/Reunions, Corporate Groups, High School Reunions

3. Tank America

Calling all adventure enthusiasts! For a unique experience, Tank America brings you a “Call of Duty” military style theme park where you can get tanked and crush everything in your path while sitting in a FV433 Abbot military tank. When you’re done outside, take your adventure to the 20,000 square-foot building for a high-intensity tactical laser tag experience where realistic combat conditions await to give you a thrill of a lifetime.

Recommended Groups: Bachelor Parties, Bro’s Getaway, and High School Reunions

4. Escape Cocoa Beach

There’s nothing like being wrongly accused of a crime and then being held in a small town sheriff’s office. So finding your way to freedom while also retrieving the evidence the sheriff is holding against you is the goal. The kicker is you only have an hour to free yourself. This is one of three scenarios you get to solve when you visit Escape Cocoa Beach. These real-life adventures allow you and your group to combine wits to complete the challenge. Use the strengths that each person in your group has to get your freedom. Fun will be had by all.

To enjoy these natural treasures, there are a host of nature and river tours with expert guides for water excursions, whether you want to go by boat, by paddleboard, or by kayak.
