5 Places for Fish Tacos in Cocoa Beach

If you’re anything like us, you love fresh fish and you love tacos – but you love them even more when they’re combined. Luckily, if you’re spending time in the Cocoa Beach area you have plenty of places to go for delicious coastal cuisine and fish tacos that will make your mouth water.

Whether you’re wanting a restaurant right on the beach or you’re looking for a local dive with the atmosphere of a surfer’s beach cabana, we have the perfect places for you. We’ve put together a list of five of our favorite restaurants to stop and grab fish tacos in Cocoa Beach

1. Sandbar Sports Grill

This surfer-style sports tavern has been the go-to destination for locals and visitors to hear great live music, enjoy a cold beverage, and of course – grab a renowned Sandbar fish taco. Just steps from Cocoa Beach, you can take a break from the sun and head to Sandbar Sports Grill to watch a game, grab a drink, or to sink your teeth into their soft flour tortillas filled with either grilled, blackened or Baja-style fish.

2. Coconuts on the Beach

Coconuts is literally right on the beach (hence the name), making it a popular destination for beach goers who want to watch the ocean, grab a drink and have a bite to eat. The restaurant serves sandwiches, steaks, seafood, pasta and, of course, fish tacos. You can choose from Mahi or shrimp and decide whether you want them grilled, blackened or jerked. There’s no better way to get into the Space Coast lifestyle than by kicking the sand off your feet and heading into Coconuts to eat tasty fish tacos while you watch the ocean waves crash onto the shore.

3. Grills Seafood Deck & Tiki Bar

A short trip north of Cocoa Beach you’ll find Grills in Port Canaveral. With the finest quality local fish and nightly entertainment, Grills’ menu is as exciting as its atmosphere. Enjoy the fresh coastal air at their outdoor deck and watch the cruise ships sail through the port, all while you’re enjoying their California style fish tacos. A Grills original, these tacos have a surprising kick and the delicious flavor from their fresh catch of the day.

4. Fat Kahuna’s

Tucked away in a plaza along Minutemen Causeway, Fat Kahuna’s is a small restaurant that has a big fan base among the locals. Their Hawaiian style menu includes gourmet burgers, pulled pork, fresh seafood and a variety of soft tacos. They have plenty of seafood tacos to choose from that go beyond the usual fish taco. Decide between Mahi, jumbo shrimp, “sushi grade” tuna and black tip shark and be sure to try out their original sauces that are made from scratch.

5. Long Doggers

Long Doggers is a come-as-you-are restaurant with a surf shop atmosphere and a fantastic menu. From their famous Long Doggers’ dogs to their wings and “Totally Tacos,” you’ll have tons of delicious options – but you already know that fish tacos are the perfect option. Enjoy three soft flour tortillas with either Mahi, shrimp, or seared tuna topped with spicy ranch Pinero sauce and your choice of fresh pico or mango salsa. And, if you think you can handle it, spice up your tacos by ordering your fish blackened, jerked, or teriyaki style.
