Over 54 acres, Erna Nixon Park & Nature Center is a large public park popular for nature walks and outdoor festivals, including the annual Crackerfest.
Featuring a natural Florida hammock and nature preserve, the park boasts a 2,345 feet long elevated boardwalk with 640 feet of trail which winds through three different ecosystems with signage that identifies different plant species and native wildlife such as the protected gopher tortoise and Indigo snake.
