Annual Pritchard Day, in the gardens and grounds of the Pritchard House Museum. Outside events include a living history encampment with the Confederate Sons Association, and antique car & oil can display, demonstrations of woodworking, rug hooking, quilting, and more. Dedication of the Brevard Heritage Council Plaque at 11:45am. Book signings with local authors Ann McCuthan, and Darrell Hardister. Tours of the Pritchard House conducted by costumed docents take place on the hour from 10:00am until 3:00pm. Tours include a Homespun Collections Exhibit, which features vintage linens, china, woodworking, basketry displayed throughout the rooms. (outside events are free, $15.00 donation for tour) Homespun Exhibit runs all month long. Also, as we celebrate the 125th anniversary of this historic home there will be an "Afternoon Tea with Mrs.. James Pritchard" on Saturday, October 1st at 2pm. Tour is included.
Tea and Tour are $25.00, and must be reserved in advance. Tours on other days may be reserved by contacting the Pritchard House.
