Astronomy for Everyone: Size & Scale of the Universe is an exciting family program with some incredible video footage for ages 5 to 100+ about the universe from the very small to the very large that lasts approximately 1 1/2 hours. It's a virtual journey throughout the cosmos. Following this indoor formal presentation, we all go outdoors to view celestial objects in the night sky through a powerful hand-crafted telescope, such as the ice crystal rings of Saturn, craters on the moon, etc., weather permitting. The program is given by former NASA Consultant Kevin James Manning, who not only travels the country bringing the stars to libraries and schools, but also worked with the Chandra X-Ray Observatory (launched on the space shuttle) with the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and other places like Brookhaven National Laboratory. Manning launched his "Star Tour" series to help make science accessible and exciting for all ages. Tickets on sale now. Preregister for discounted tickets and a raffle prize of a new telescope at http://www.lookuptothestars.com/event.
