The Mims United Methodist Church and the First Baptist Church of Mims are hosting the 10th annual Mims Mullet Festival on Saturday, October 6th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the church grounds at 3302 Green Street (MUMC) and 2395 Kentucky Ave (FBCM), Mims, FL 32754. Admission to the festival is free.
There will be smoked and fried mullet dinners, hamburgers hot dogs, and other treats. Dinner plate prices include 2 sides and a drink. Both churches will host a bake sale, so you can also purchase a delicious home-made treat for dessert or take home a whole cake!
Entertainment includes rock climbing, bouncy house, bungee jump, horse rides, kids' games, a car show with 50+ autos, a craft fair, demonstrations, and music all afternoon. Games are reasonably priced, with discounts for wrist bands. Along with the famous Mullet in Toilet Toss, there will be a Toilet Soap Box Derby.
There is a 5K run and Golf tournament the morning of the festival at Indian River Preserve. Links at applications to compete can be found on the website. www.mimsmulletfestival.com
