As always, once a year comes to an end, and another one begins, we look back on how well we did and didn't do. If you were the United Launch Alliance you did fantastic by breaking all previous records. 2013 was a record breaking year for the United Launch Alliance from launching an orbital to Mars to deploying several national security satellites for the military. In all, United Launch Alliance conducted 11 launches in 2013, including 8 Atlas and three Delta flights from Florida's Space Coast. Formed in December 2006, United Launch Alliance (ULA) is a 50-50 joint venture owned by Lockheed Martin and The Boeing Company. ULA program management, engineering, test and mission support functions are headquartered in Denver, Colo. Manufacturing, assembly and integration operations are located at Decatur, Ala., and Harlingen, Texas. Launch operations are located at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., and at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif.
