Space Coast Stadium in Viera, Florida is the spring training home of the Washington Nationals Major League Baseball team. Whether you are a die-hard baseball fan or just want to get out and enjoy the Florida sunshine, a spring training game is the place to do just that.

Locals and visitors fill the stadiums with games during the week and on the weekends, and it brings a lot of excitement to Florida’s Space Coast. If you are looking to catch a game, you can get a spring training schedule here. Ticket prices range from about $15/pp - $30/pp, depending on where you want to sit.

If you’re an out-of-towner and plan on sliding into Viera for a weekend game but traveling with people who don’t want to watch baseball, don’t worry, Florida’s Space Coast offers a lot of great options for everyone.

There’s plenty of options that will connect you more with nature. We suggest any of the following outdoor activities must-do’s on Florida’s Space Coast.

  • Private Fishing Charter - One of our favorite charters, Sea Levelers, has been a staple here on Florida’s Space Coast for over 15 years. Their charters are for everyone, including kids and families. On this amazing nature adventure, you will find yourself smack in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean fishing for whatever seems to be biting for the day. And if you are up for a challenge, we recommend their shark fishing charter which is a nightly occurrence. Now, if you plan on doing a charter while other family members are at the game, just make sure you give yourself enough travel time and pick either a half day or full day, depending on how competitive you are with your fishing skills.
  • Jetty Park - If charter fishing isn’t your thing, then we suggest taking a trip to Jetty Park. Jetty Park has plenty to offer to please everyone in your party. A great beachfront oasis, there is plenty of white pristine sand for sunbathers to bask in the hot Florida sun while some of your fishermen or women cast a line off of the 1,200-foot fishing pier. And if all you want to do is people watch, then you are in luck. Jetty Park is within eyesight of the port, and you can see cruise lines coming and going at any given moment.
  • Golfing - If you don’t want to get your feet wet, then you can put them on the green at one of our waterfront golf courses that we have here on Florida’s Space Coast. One of our favorites is the Cocoa Beach Country Club which is located on a peninsula on the Banana River. The club is open to guests and prices vary on your type of residency, but you can check out their rates here.

So, even if you aren’t a baseball fan, but you are heading over to the coast for a game with the family, know that you're not limited. We have so much to offer for everyone here on Florida’s Space Coast. We hope to see you at the game! #GoNationals
