Throughout the area are a plethora of places that feed the, sometimes unknown, craving of being one with nature, and that can look different from one person to the next. You may want to take your exercise outdoors, play games, or enjoy a day at the beach to satisfy that desire to be outside. Located on the shores of the Indian River Lagoon, Shiloh’s Steak & Seafood is not only a great place to go for waterfront dining, the restaurant also gives you a direct view of NASA’s Kennedy Space Center providing the perfect spot for one of the many rocket launches that take place here on the Space Coast.

To see a cruise ship setting sail or a charter boat carrying the big catch of the day, head over to The Cove and stop by Rusty’s Oyster Bar. Not only does Rusty’s give you an up close encounter, it promises gorgeous views along with it. Perfect for an early evening meal to watch the sun go down and relax after the day.

For a place that lets you keep the sand between your toes from a nice relaxing day at the beach, Longboards Tiki Beach Grille, located at the Hilton Cocoa Beach, offers both visitors and hotel guests the perfect spot to soak up the sun while grabbing a bite to eat and a refreshing drink of your choice as you enjoy the views of Cocoa Beach. This is also a great place to head to on the weekend if you want to dance under the moonlight while listening to the featured live band.

Eat America’s favorite food at the largest Irish pizzeria near Cocoa Beach. Ryan’s Pizza & Pub offers a beautiful view of the Indian River Lagoon and the Riverfront Park as you sit in comfort in the shaded outside bar on the second floor. Ryan’s also offers more than just pizza. Check out the menu here. Not a fan of heights, peruse down the historic streets of Cocoa Village to either Murdock's or The Village Biergarten. Both locations have patio seating. You don’t get the water view, but you’ll enjoy the shady oak trees that line the streets.

If you’re looking for a top-notch menu with a great view, The Dock at River Rocks will not disappoint. Overlooking the Indian River Lagoon, The Dock has both open air and covered patio seating where both lunch and dinner are served. Keep your eyes open; you might just see a dolphin or two. If you’re out on the water, it’s easy to stop by, as there’s a long 250’ boardwalk that you can tie your boat up to. Come see why people call this the premier waterfront venue on the Space Coast.

You can’t come to the Space Coast and not enjoy a proper burger, and The Burger Place will serve you the best. If you’re on the go, no problem, download the app, choose your day and time, and voilà, your burger will be ready and waiting for you. But don’t be surprised if you end up hanging at the burger joint under the covered patio. Since it’s located in Downtown Melbourne, there’s always something going on that you’ll want to stick around for.

Located in the more southern part of the Space Coast, Rooney’s Café & Bar is an old-fashioned indoor-outdoor bar and grill that gives you a little bit of everything from steak and seafood to burgers and deli sandwiches, easily enjoyed under the covered patio.
