Manatees Open up Season with Fan Fest

On Monday, the MLB celebrated opening day. Yes, the Washington Nationals are done with spring training on Florida's Space Coast. And yes, we were sad to see them leave, but there departure doesn't mean that quality professional baseball has left the area entirely!

The Brevard County Manatees are back in town and they have a full schedule for sports fans and their families. In fact, this evening from 6:00-9:00 pm, the Manatees are hosting its annual Fan Fest at Space Coast Stadium. This free event will feature food and drink specials, team autograph sessions, team/staff press conferences, which will take place after the autograph session, on top of the Manatees' dugout. The team will also showcase their apparel in a fashion show featuring players and front office staff. Later in the evening, all are welcome to watch the team's first practice under the lights as they prepare for the 2013 season, which will be the 20th season of Brevard County Manatees baseball.
