*First Friday Eau Gallie Arts District

January 2 Every first Friday of every month (except July) the Eau Gallie Arts District hosts a themed evening with live entertainment, open galleries and shops, and late hours at Foosaner Art Museum who offers a free jazz concert from 5:30 8:30 pm.

*Cirque Italia

Cirque Italia isn't your average circus! Described as a vivid, dramatic, and moving experience under a customized traveling tent, Cirque Italia brings the appreciation of production and circus arts together to create an Aquatic Spectacular. January 9-11, 2015 Cocoa Village Playhouse presents through special arrangements with Dramatic Publishing, Twelve Angry Men, for one weekend only this month. Set on a sweltering August evening in a New York City courtroom, the play focuses on a jury tasked with determining the verdict in a murder case in which a young man is accused of killing his father and faces the death penalty if found guilty. more info 

*Frida Family Day

January 10, 2015 Day-long festival to kick off the Frida Kahlo: Through the Lens of Nickolas Muray exhibit at the Foosaner Art Museum. This family-friendly event will feature family-oriented activities, hands-on arts and crafts and storytelling. All activities and gallery tours are free. *Frida Kahlo: Through the Lens of Nickolas Muray

January 10 - March 22, 2105 This is a traveling exhibition of photos from Nickolas Muray's personal archives. 1 Day Wet & Wild Drawing Workshop hosted by Artist Derek Gores

January 17, 2015 Instructor Derek Gores recommends wet drawing as the perfect bridge between drawing and painting. He will demonstrate, and lead you in several projects which will include abstract, still life drawing, spatial drawing, and the figure. Students are also welcome to bring personal items to draw.
