You’re on vacation so that means it’s time to try something new.

Nestled up in the northern part of the Space Coast are a wide variety of restaurants that you won’t find anywhere else. Unlike chain restaurants, these top-dining choices in Titusville will surprise and delight you with their creative menu options and homegrown feel. One of Titusville’s long-standing restaurants, Dixie Crossroads, has been serving great tasting, wild ocean-caught seafood since 1983. Their menu also includes items like char-grilled steaks, prime rib, as well as their famous corn fritters and rock shrimp.

Shiloh's Steak and Seafood

Victorio's Oyster Bar

A family-owned and operated restaurant since 1979, Victorio’s started out as a small neighborhood pizzeria, but now humbly boasts being considered one of Florida’s top Italian seafood and oyster bars. El Leoncito

It’s time for a fiesta and El Leoncito is the place for your Mexi-Cuban dishes, whether for lunch or dinner. Originally opening in 1977 in Southern California, the Sanchez family relocated to Titusville in 1995 and has been a staple restaurant since then. This colorful bar and restaurant will have not only your taste buds doing the salsa, your feet may be doing this same with their monthly mariachi band providing live music or from the effects of their margaritas, voted best by Florida Today.

With a menu that will want you ordering more and weekly specials that locals love, you won’t be disappointed with the food or the service. And this is yet another spot for a view of one of the rocket launches. With a mission that combines curiosity and authenticity in order to turn you on to something new to hit your palate, they highly encourage you come on in, grab a beer, and make some great memories together while they dazzle you with their world-inspired combinations.

One of the more unique homegrown restaurants is Playalinda Brewery. Opening its doors in 2014, this was the first established microbrewery in the northern part of the Space Coast. Their Hardware Store location transformed one of the city’s oldest buildings in to a fully functional, modern taproom. Not only will you get to choose from several craft beers, you’ll also be able to enjoy wine and other pub fare, all while enjoying a piece of Space Coast’s history and small-town charm.

In 2016, they opened their second location just a few miles south called the Brix Project.  But don’t expect the same look and feel. This location has a more hip vibe and offers you an expanded menu, not only with food, but also with your drink options. And unlike the hardware store, Brix Project is home to Playalinda’s distillery and they have some great concoctions you won’t want to miss.

 

Steve's Family Diner

If you’re on the hunt for a true homegrown, mom and pop restaurant, then Steve’s Family Diner is where you want to go. A laid-back family atmosphere serving up southern-style comfort food at great prices, their menu gives you lots to choose from. But you’ll definitely want to check out their fried chicken. It was voted best fried chicken in town.
