Father's Day is fast approaching, and we're pretty sure your dad doesn't want another tie this year. How about an out-of-this-world experience at Kennedy Space Center? Or a deep-sea fishing trip out of Port Canaveral? Does he prefer something more laid back? How about a few days hanging in Cocoa Beach? No matter what your dad prefers, there’s something here on Florida’s Space Coast to make his Father’s Day memorable this year.
What makes Florida’s Space Coast unique is that everywhere you look, there’s a body of water ready to be played in. This year, forget that tie for dad and give him an experience you won’t find anywhere else.

SUP N SUDS from Paddling Paradise

This 9 a.m. to noon event lets dad combine two of his favorite things – watersports and craft beer. Titusville's Paddling Paradise teams up with Playalinda Brewing Company for a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) adventure and brewery tour unlike no other. The first half of the event allows participants to take a leisurely SUP tour of the Indian River Lagoon where dad may see dolphins, manatees and other native wildlife. The second half of the day takes him to Playalinda Brewery for a tour and a pint of beer (or their homemade root beer.) This experience is only $50 for dad, and only $30 if he has his own SUP. Well worth the cost to get a bit wet, see the beautiful foliage and wildlife of Florida’s Space Coast, and top it off with a pint of beer…or more!

Catch a Break in Cocoa Beach

If your dad is in need of some serious rest, look no further than Cocoa Beach. You can start early with a breakfast at Simply Delicious Cafe & Bakery on North Orlando Avenue in Cocoa Beach where you can dine with your dad over grits, quiche, omelets, or simply coffee and a pastry. Then it's off to stretch on the warm sands of Cocoa Beach where you can relax or play. Looking to try something new? Consider taking a surfing lesson at the Ron Jon Surf School. Want to get more adventurous? Get a birds’ eye view of Cocoa Beach with Cocoa Beach Parasail.

After you take a dip in the warming waters of the Atlantic you'll be ready for lunch. Head to Fat Kahuna's on the Minuteman Causeway for burgers, steak, and specialty cocktails dad is sure to enjoy.

Go Deep Off the Coast

Florida’s Space Coast is home to great fishing all year long. In fact, there are over 500 species of fish found here. Join one of the many fishing charters out of Port Canaveral for a fishing adventure dad will never forget. Most charters offer half-day and full-day boating trips that will have him fishing for tuna, tripletail, cobia, and other fish in the Atlantic Ocean. No experience? The crew can work with both seasoned anglers and new customers that have never held a fishing rod.
