On Saturday, January 19, the Brevard Symphony Orchestra continues their DREAM season with two performances of Melodic Treasures featuring guest pianist Bryan Wallick at the King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne, FL.



The third concert in the BSO's 2012/13 Subscription Concert Season will feature works by Desby, Grieg, and Dvorak. Pianist Bryan Wallick returns with Edvard Griegs Piano Concerto. Wallick is quickly gaining recognition as one of the great American virtuoso pianists of his generation. Gold medalist of the 1997 Vladimir Horowitz International Piano Competition in Kiev, he has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and South Africa. Melodic Treasures will take on a more personal touch with a gorgeous melody by Neal Desby titled Spiritual. BSO Music Director and Principal Conductor, Christopher Confessore is a friend and former classmate of Desby. With this performance, Maestro Confessore will fulfill a long-held dream to perform this piece for Brevard audiences. The concert concludes with Antonin Dvoraks dramatic Symphony No. 7.
