One of the most anticipated annual cultural events in the area, Indiafest 2013, which will be on Saturday, March 9th and Sunday, March 10th,will be celebrating 100 years of Bollywood cinema. This two-day festival promises to bring an explosion of Indian entertainment from early Indian cinema to what is today known as Bollywood.

Started 16 years ago as a curious and humble effort of an ethnic community, Indiafest has become one of the most popular and anticipated events on Florida's Space Coast. Its uniqueness comes from the fact that a different theme is presented each year showing the unique aspects of India's culture, history, and traditions.

An admirable factor of this festival is its a volunteer run, not for profit, cultural organization, known for its charitable efforts to several local charities, including the parent organization, Manav Mandir, and aid in disaster recovery, nationally and internationally. Past endeavors have included disaster aid reliefs for 1999 Hurricane Floyd Victims, The 2001 Earthquake Victims in Gujarat, India, and victims of 9-11.

Indiafest caters to all age groups with hands-on activities for the youths, mouth watering Indian cuisine, traditional live music, folk dances, fashion shows, live Yoga and even Zumba demonstrations. The grounds will also feature vendors selling jewelry, rich colorful ethnic garments, arts and crafts, music and temporary body art of exotic Henna designs.

Tickets for Indiafest 2013 are $5 adults, $2 children under 12, and free for children under 5.
