Change up your golf game

Golf, a quintessential blending of power and precision, wrapped up into an 18-hole course that either makes you or breaks you. Countless practice swings, visualizing the ball going into the four and a quarter inch hole, patience and stamina, and weather conditions all come in to play when you’re out on the golf course trying to hit or go below par.

For some, this sport is a way to recharge after a long week of work. For others, it’s a source of boredom and complete frustration. Yet for many, this is a great way to socialize, stay busy after retiring, and enjoy the open air of the outdoors. No matter how you view a game of golf, the one thing that it has that no other sport has, at least in our opinion, is diversity.

Over the years, golf has taken on different forms. True golf enthusiasts may baulk at the idea that it could look and be different than the original design and rules of the sport, but as Arnold Palmer said, “The most rewarding things you do in life are often the ones that look like they cannot be done.” Now we may be stretching this quote a bit, but it does fit perfectly with golfing here on the Space Coast.

Here are a few ways to golf in a way that one may think cannot be done but are proving otherwise.

A sport created in the 1970’s, has started to become increasingly more popular over the last several years with courses popping up all over. Test your skills with a game that combines the laid back style of Frisbee tossing with the precision of a golf putt. Need a visual? Watch here.
