Your teenager is growing up right before your very eyes, and you want nothing more than to capture those great family vacation memories. Sure, hitting the concrete jungle at the theme parks can be fun for teenagers, but Florida’s Space Coast can also provide an authentic and exhilarating experience.

We have compiled a list of teen-approved activities in Melbourne & The Beaches on Florida’s Space Coast that are sure to get you at least one captured memory and make your teen feel like a true adventure enthusiast. Be prepared, get your cameras ready, and here we go:

  • Surfing: You can’t take a teenager to Florida and not let them come back without a surfing story, and if your teen doesn’t surf, even better. SurfGuy Surf School offers private, semi-private, or group surfing lessons. Maybe this is something that you let your teen do on his or her own, or you can do it as a family. Either way, they take new surfers from 6-years-old to adult.
  • Zip Lining: Sure, our beaches are beautiful, but we also have amazing trees throughout Florida’s Space Coast, and can you imagine the smile on your teen’s face when he or she is zip lining through acres of lush Florida trees and elements? Treetop Trek is an adventure for people of all ages and all skill levels. The course has 14 lines that will have you zipping over the exotic animals, including the alligators, at the Brevard Zoo. It’ll be an exciting and exhilarating adventure for your teenager.
  • Escape Rooms: Escaping family time might be on your teen’s agenda, and at The Escape Zone, they can actually get away with it. Escape rooms are becoming more popular, and this particular one offers several zones that are sure to please. Our favorite is The Undead Zone where you have 75 minutes to get supplies, data, and research while you make your way out of the zombie danger zone.
  • Go Karts: If your teen is a little on the competitive side, then the Andretti Thrill Park will be just the right speed for him or her. This park offers a super speedway track, mini-golf, batting cages, lazer tag, and much more! If your teen has a driver’s license, then we recommend the Andretti Challenge, which is a professional go-karting experience. If your kid isn’t licensed for speed, then we recommend lazer tag as a great way to test out fun combat skills in the dark.

Now that you are armed with options that are sure to keep your teen happy, you can go out and enjoy your vacation in Melbourne & The Beaches on Florida’s Space Coast. You might even get your next family photo during one of these adventures.
