Florida’s Space Coast offers something for every traveler.

Looking to try some of our local craft microbrews, or want to enjoy the beaches? The Melbourne area of the Space Coast offers visitors a chance to experience a laid-back vacation and tune-in with the locals.

1. Indialantic

Indialantic, Florida is a beachside town otherwise known as Indialantic By The Sea. James H. Nance Park has a boardwalk for those who are looking to enjoy the scenery, and you can grab a bite to eat with several food choices near by. Try Long Dogger’s for lunch or dinner, and Moo’s Soft Serve for great ice cream to beat the heat!

Want to see the water in a unique way? Head over to PaddleBoard House on 5th Avenue, which has over 150+ paddleboards from major brands, like Lono, CJ Nelson Designs, Guy Takayama that are available to rent. Avid shoppers looking for quality merchandise and swimwear will be pleased with the brands at Longboard House as well.

2. Sebastian Inlet State Park

Sebastian Inlet State Park is another option for a fun day out at the beach. Bring your binoculars and watch water-birds, look for dolphins and more. Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy fantastic catches along the waters that extend into the Atlantic Ocean. The North side of the inlet also has a natural pool, which is great for families with younger children as it is protected and calm.

Okay, I'm ready. You can take me back to the beach now.

3. Downtown Melbourne

Looking to enjoy the night-life? Head to Downtown Melbourne. You can find great food, cafe’s and bars located in the area, and most of Downtown Melbourne is also very pet friendly. Many of the local establishments host events frequently and offer live music almost every night. Matt's Casbah Happy Hour is wildly popular among the locals because of drink specials and live music. Enjoy traditional Irish cuisine at the locally famous Meg O’ Malley’s, or taste from an extensive list of fine tequilas at Ole’ Fire Grill. If beer is more up your alley, spend some time at Hell N’ Blazes- a microbrewery in one of Historic Downtown’s oldest buildings!

Between the glittering beaches, historic attractions, and a variety of activities to enjoy, it’s not possible to see it all in one day- or even two. When planning your trip to the Space Coast, make sure you book a stay at a waterfront hotel or a laid-back B&B. For more information on visiting Melbourne & the Beaches, click here.
