3. Spend a Day on the Water

Enjoy Florida wildlife right from the water by renting a kayak or stand up paddle board from Paddling Paradise. Your family can venture out on your own or take an eco-tour with a certified guide. Either way, you can witness manatees, dolphins and an incredible variety of native Florida birds.

8. Rock Climb at On the Edge

There’s no mountains on Florida’s Space Coast, but you and the kids can still get a fun climb in at  On the Edge. The state-of-the-art facility features realistic climbing walls that vary in difficulty from beginner to expert.

 

9. Watch a Rocket Launch

One of the most exciting things to witness on Florida’s Space Coast is a rocket launch out of Cape Canaveral. Head out to Cocoa Beach or Titusville for a day to get an up-close view from the  Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier or head out to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex to get as close as you can get.

 

10. Take a Sea Turtle Walk

Stroll along the beach with the Sea Turtle Preservation Society and look for sea turtle nests, hatchlings or nesting loggerhead sea turtles.

11. Spend the Day at the Beach

Florida’s Space Coast is home to some of the most beautiful beaches on the state’s East coast. Head out for a relaxing day at  Sebastian Inlet State Park or even bring the dog along to enjoy Canova Beach Park, the only dog beach on Florida’s Space Coast.
