FOMO is real but not if you check out our 10 things not to miss in Cocoa Beach

When it comes to planning for a vacation, making sure you have booked all your accommodations, your excursions, and where you’re going to eat is of high importance for a fun-filled time. But even the best planners can easily overlook tiny details. As you are planning your trip to Cocoa Beach, we want to make sure that you don’t miss anything because we all know that FOMO (fear of missing out) is real, just ask any millennial! Don’t worry though, we’ve got you covered.

Here are 10 things not to miss on your next visit to Cocoa Beach.

1. Beach

Cocoa Beach is one of the most famous of our beaches on Florida’s Space Coast, so it’s an obvious choice when planning things to do. With several spots to choose from, enjoy some fun in the sun, dig your toes in the sand, catch a few rays, and cool off in the ocean. There’s no better way to spend your time here and ensure you have that sun-kissed glow before you head home.

2. Café Surfinista

For those of you who consider themselves “foodies” and are looking for another eclectic gathering place, then you’ll want to check out Café Surfinista. They specialize in organic acai and pitaya bowls and smoothies, as well as fresh cold-pressed organic juices made daily. And even if you aren’t a foodie but love a good cup o’ joe and a pastry or two, they offer great coffee and espresso drinks and light lunches. This is definitely a great breakfast or lunch spot and is “Kelly Slater” approved!

3. Surf Lessons

“World famous” Cocoa Beach is a place known to attract visitors to ride the waves where 11-time World Surf League Champion professional surfer, Kelly Slater, mastered his skill. Learn from some of the locals and see why this is the best place to catch some waves and hang ten, dude.

4. Downtown Cocoa Beach

Besides being a famous surf town, Cocoa Beach has so much more to offer. Enjoy the easy beach lifestyle with a stroll down Main Street. Shop 'til you drop with beach boutiques and specialty item stores. Allow your taste buds to go wild with the dining options that are around every corner. Take in the beauty of the natural landscape and other sights, like the wall mural art, as you walk or drive around. And of course, talk a selfie with a life-size statue of Kelly Slater.

5. Museum of Dinosaurs and Ancient Cultures

This isn’t your typical fossil store. The Museum of Dinosaurs and Ancient Cultures is a great opportunity to explore the prehistoric age to King Tut’s tomb and the accomplishments the people of ancient Egypt made. There is an interactive Adventure Zone that transforms you into an archaeologist for the day with fossil digs and has you braving the rapids of the Nile River without you even getting wet. This is fun for all ages.
